Jazz String Theory
A Fine Jazz Ensemble
The Jazz String Theory ensemble was born in 2014 from a group of musicians from heterogeneous backgrounds and from the idea of creating a chamber music project: merging the language of the most 'classical' of chamber music ensembles - the string quartet - with the harmonies and rhythms of Jazz in all its forms, in a way that combines improvisation, freedom, timbral research and harmony.
Our show (called "JST in
concert, jazz contaminations) spans all those musical genres that have
absorbed the language of jazz: from Astor Piazzolla's Tango Nuevo, to
French Chanson d'auteur (Fauré, Poulenc, Satie) and to Kabarett music
signed by Kurt Weill. We give voice to this repertoire that has now
entered by right into the History of Music.
